Whiter than Snow

As I sit here typing on the laptop, eating pizza and sipping my hot chocolate (with a wonderful dollop or three of whipped cream on top), white snow lies gorgeously outside, covering nearly everything. I love snow. I love Bible verses that relate to snow...they remind me of God's faithfulness of saving me. He wiped my sin away, so I could be white as snow. He didn't just do it for me though, He wants to do it for you too....if you will surrender your life completely to Him...your sin too, will be wiped away, allowing you to become washed as white as snow. How exciting!

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." -Isaiah 1:18

This verse is a wonderful promise from God. But in order for us to receive it, we must first obey His commandments...

"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." (vs. 19-20, emphasis is mine)

The choice is ours. We can either refuse and rebel God's commands, allowing us to not reap blessings from Him...Or, we can be willing and obedient to Christ, and reap a bountiful harvest of blessings from Him. Father God wants to bless us, but we have to make the choice whether to obey or disobey his commands.

Another verse about being washed whiter than snow is found in Psalm 51.

"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." -Psalm 51:5-7

Oh, the Bible is such a wonderful book. It saddens me to ponder how so many believe it's just made up of fairy tales. How much they miss out! The Bible is full of so many promises and beautiful writing, and best of all, it's all truth. Jesus talks about it in John 8:31-32....

".....'If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know truth, and the truth shall make you free.'"

I hope this was encouraging to you as it has been to me. Seek God's Word, zealously pursue Him. He's zealously pursuing you. Know and believe the Truth. For the Truth...will set you free. :)

God bless,

Morgan
